Hello Roadrunners! As one of the crazy spirited teachers at RRC, you probably know me as the weird lady with too much energy and ever-changing hair! I am a graduate of Cypress Community College, Cal State Long Beach (GO BEACH!), and Cal State San Bernardino. I have been teaching since 2002 and I've taught in Long Beach, Moreno Valley, and Lake Elsinore. I've taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, and spent many years as a Reading Intervention Teacher. (How is that possible when I'm only 29?!)
At home, I have a husband, a daughter, 2 sons, 2 HUGE dogs, a Leopard Gecko, and a tarantula named Lily! I love the beach, reading, and arts & crafts. I am a Fantasy Football multi-year champion and I love to fundraise and do things to help my community be more amazing.
At school, I teach 5th grade these days. We have a cool garden and a snake named Queen Maeve. I love incorporating Social-Emotional Learning, social awareness issues, art, and technology into my classroom. I am the EL Facilitator, so I help our English Language Learners and their families. I am our Testing Coordinator, so I help make sure we're ready and successful with our state tests. I am also our Yearbook Advisor, so I lead a group of carefully chosen students to make our school yearbook each year. Finally, I am an Administrative Designee, so I help out when Mrs. Recatto & Ms. Connolly are busy.
I am excited to see what awesome changes and learning this school year brings!
